Zoe-perry

Perry is she is Chicago native who was birthed to Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. Her first TV roles included two episodes on the show as Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) in her role on the ABC sitcom Roseanne, the character portrayed by her mother. Fearing stress, her parents did not want to see her pursue acting before she turned age 18. Perry, who was too shy for acting in school, began to perform at Northwestern University because she wanted to meet new people. Perry went on to New York, where she was offered small roles in shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. The feeling of homesickness led Perry home to California and theater roles were readily available. Perry starred with her mother in The Other Place at Broadway at the end of 2013. In 2015 she performed alongside her father as well as Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Anna Christie in the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. Perry appeared nine times in The Family, an ABC drama The Family, in 2016. In 2017, Perry was a part-time character in ABC's political thriller Scandal which starred her father. The same year she was cast as a young character of Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) on Young Sheldon, a spin-off of the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory again as a teen version of her mother's. She was cast in the role in spite of her strong relationship with the character's family.
