Luciana was born at home in Rome with her grandparents - Luciana's father was Manlio Paoluzzi who was an Italian army officer and her maternal grandmother was Maria Rota Paoluzzi who was once one of Benito Mussolini's mistresses. Her siblings are unknown. Luciana attended an elementary school in the area before going into the Scientific Academy of Milan in 1955. Luciana was one of only two females in her class. After two years of modeling she landed an appearance in Three Coins in the Fountain. The film was her debut. Brett Halsey is an actress who was her husband at first. After the wedding in 1960 they made a movie together named Return to the Peyton Palace. Luciana had custody of Charles who was born on June 13, 1961. The couple split within a year. Between 1962 and 1970, Luciana dated Tony Athony an actor and producer who was greatly influenced by her performance in the movie Green Slime and based on the script he wrote as well as the mixed Spaghetti Western for which he gained some recognition.
