Hayley Orrantia is she is an American singer-songwriter and actress. She is most famous for her role as Erica Goldberg from the TV comedy show "The Goldbergs". She believes that she is a musician first and foremost. Music is her first love, that she insists on; it's something she has dabbled at when she was nine years old. When she was 12 years old, music became seriously enough to warrant formal training. As a teenager, she started writing herself songs. The first album she released as a cover was released fourteen years later. The music has never stopped ever since. Orrantia has Hispanic roots, however she was born in the USA. She is proud of the reality that she is a native of Hispanic origins, despite in English only and never lived in Mexico. She endeavours to preserve it by becoming fluent in Spanish as well as writing songs using the language. "Hasta Verte" which is a song with Spanish lyrics that she has recorded, is a good illustration. Orrantia appeared in The X Factor season 1's auditions in the summer of 2011. The Orrantia's YouTube video was picked and she got four "yeses" which is a vote for the judges during the Seattle audition. Though she initially auditioned on her own at "Hollywood Week" the singer, along with three other female vocalists were put into a group for the rest of the auditions. The live performances were held in the 5th week.
